Member Survey

At the recent Special General Meeting, members discussed how we might increase the number of individuals who attend monthly general meetings as well as the interest groups they belong to. Monthly meetings provide an opportunity for all members to socialise, meet the committee and give their thoughts on how they would like our U3A to develop, so a healthy attendance would have benefits for all.

One of the suggestions was that holding all the meetings at Portscatho might make it difficult for some members to attend. The day of week and time of day may also be issues. It was proposed that we invite everyone to give feedback in the form of a short survey so that the committee can make properly informed decisions on possible future changes.

Please take a few minutes to complete the form below before 28th February 2010. The password required is that notified in the notification with the February newsletter.

From 1st April 2010 the annual capitation fee payable to the Third Age Trust will increase by £1 p.a. and our membership subscription will also increase to £16 per person to reflect this. However, some members have expressed concern that only around 66% of current costs are covered by subscriptions, with the balance from additional fundraising.

Although our fundraising has been successful, we could significantly reduce our reliance if annual subscriptions were increased to a higher level.

Would you be in favour of increasing subscriptions to £18 p.a. in order to reduce the dependence on fundraising activities?

   Yes

   No
