Opportunity to form a new Book Club

Would you like to join a social book club meeting monthly for a book discussion, chat, coffee and biscuits probably in members' homes? Venue/s and books to be chosen by interested members. The library has many sets of books of all kinds they will lend free of charge. I’ll bring the list with me to the monthly meeting on Monday 18 January for you to see. Funding obtained for 4 new computer courses

Following the success of the basic level computer courses run during 2009, we have received a grant from Cornwal Community Foundation to cover the cost of hiring the computer suite at Probus Primary School for a further 4 courses of 8 weeks each commencing in February 2010.

This will enable members to further develop their computer skills in a friendly and relaxed learning environment. Full details will be provided shortly so that members can register their interest. As with all our activities, courses will be free to members, but in order to fully benefit, participants must have their own computer and be willing to complete exercises at home as part of the course work.
