Whether your interest is the history of England or politics or a desire to understand our country’s constitutional background and how we came to be what we are, you will enjoy (if that is the right word) this study group. Film will be shown and explanation made as to how the English Civil Wars (1642-9) came about.

When it’s all over you will be amazed at how much of today’s life is the result of 17th century unrest. Monarchy has never been the same, and the Republic was tried and tested – with failure.

Films start at 10.15 am as this session is taking advantage of an empty Committee Room at Probus Village Hall which has been booked as part of the contract for use of the kitchen for the cookery group. There will be a coffee break part-way through. Please contact me if you would like to chat about this 01872 – 270030.
