How we work

Our constitution is the governing document which sets out in detail the way that we will operate, together with our responsibilities and obligations.

It is based on the model produced by the Third Age Trust for all independent U3As and has been accepted by the Charity Commission should it become necessary for us to apply for registration in accordance with charity regulations.

It has also been accepted by HM Revenue and Customs as evidence of our charitable status and our entitlement to the appropriate tax exemptions.
